  1. Here's couw's picture (for those of use who couldn't see it). It's Heino!!!
  2. I have some of the Blue Moons already, but I prefer the Mosaic so far. One thing I love about Mosaic sets is the fact that I can sell it for more than I paid in the first place (once it's out of print). Now those Blue Moons are a different story...
  3. Here's another cheap archtop: Agile AS-901 People have been raving about Agile guitars over at the harmony-central.com forums and the Fender Discussion Page. I picked up a cheap Les Paul copy and it was built well. The Agile's are made in Korea, while the Ibanez Artcores are made in China (if that matters to you).
  4. Thanks 7/4! I don't know if we're allowed to have ourselves un-blocked. If I was in there, I'd be apologizing for many views I used to hold.
  5. But wouldn't a Hindu see God in everything? (the way I understand these things...) I could see a Hindu version of "oneness" in Simon's idea. The intensity of the experience. If a person had an experience of "oneness", it probably would blow them out of their shoes.
  6. That's a really cool interpretation, Simon! I'm going to go back and listen with that visual in mind. Later period Coltrane is more like an experience than just music.
  7. Later period Coltrane really pisses off my wife.
  8. Hey, nobody's mentioned Heino!
  9. I never have enjoyed LISTENING to OM as much as the other albums, but I still find it to be an interesting experiment.
  10. I have in the past. I just learned to change strings one at a time. and...you're welcome!
  11. Is this the place you're thinking of? http://www.southpaw.net/
  12. I got my sets yesterday. So far, I've only listened to the Shorter/Morgan. There are a lot of alternate takes, but I really like this set. :rsmile:
  13. no sweat. the list has become shorter BTW (and my wallet somewhat thinner....) Thanks John! Who needs money anyway?
  14. Though I'm quite unfamiliar with the living/dead status of PMs, wouldn't this actually be Maggie? She'd be an ex-PM. Though she definitely clogged up space for 11 years too many. Sorry! I should be saying this in the politics column! I'm jonesing for the Political Forum. Drat! Why did I ban myself. I'm just backed-up with stuff to say about Bush and Blair.
  15. My oldest PM is from couw, and is a list of out of print Conns that I'm supposed to be copying for him. Sorry John!
  16. They're GREAT!
  17. To me, not all the discs are of the same quality..... BUT.... For me, they're an essential purchase. I LOVED this series!
  18. Thanks Ubu! I'm enjoying this discussion also. Plus, I like SUNSHIP also. If there is anyone out there who hasn't heard STELLAR REGIONS, I agree with Pete C and highly recommend it. Those last Coltrane recordings (to me) have an amazing depth to them.
  19. Well... the squeeky wheel gets the grease. I made a call and.... now they just arrived.
  20. I think that's a great idea.
  21. I always enter a note, when I place my computer order, to leave the package in between the front & screen doors upon delivery. The Airborne guy closes the screen door and locks the package between the doors. That's a good idea. I just have them sent to my place of business. I figure that's the easiest way.... at least I used to figure that. Methinks, my beautiful Mosaic sets are with a madman or something. Mosaic sets, where are you????
  22. I think it should be entirely up to the person burning the discs and paying for the postage. I'm not going to complain if someone does me a favor and has a two disc compilation. It's not like we're graded on these things and have to find the answers for every track. This is supposed to be fun, isn't it? :rsmile:
