He was touring and playing 99% early VH material. I'd rather go hear him! He just creeps me out with that perma-grin of his. I wouldn't want my good memories of early VH to be tainted by seeing them now.

I just got my first four Selects. Wow! I really like these sets. I've only listened to the Carmell Jones so far (I love it), but I can't wait to hear more. I'm really impressed with the value. I think I'll have to start collecting these like I used to collect Conns.

I'm really out of touch with the Allman Bros. I have their older albums from the early 70's, but I've heard nothing lately. I know they have great musicians playing with them, as I have heard Warren Haynes with Phil and Friends. I'd be interested in your review if you pick it up, Greg.

I heard Sammy talking about it on Howard Stern the other day. I think it's true. I always liked VH better with Dave, but have you seen him lately? (IMO) They're probably better off with Sammy now. I did see Eddie at the NAMM show last year. He didn't look too good.

Thanks, WD45! Wasn't there an Halloween episode of the Simpsons where Willie turned into a tractor or something? I'm thinking of the Nightmare on Elmstreet parody. Couw, I do the same thing as you. I just lower the number of colors of the .gif. When I was doing a lot of animations, I was getting down to 32 colors often. That's a good idea about changing the background so it won't be so many colors.

I'm using Photoshop 7 and the built-in Imageready program to make my avatars. I've heard Macromedia Fireworks is even more efficient (in regard to file size).

I see your points about music that has a darkness to it. I'm not trying to judge it. It is what it is, but there's a lot of stuff I can't get into. I'm a big fan of music that expresses a lot of feelings, but if the music brings me down, I'll find something else to listen to.
