  1. I'd suggest something with the words "overlord" or "uber" in the title. Funk Overlord Uberfunker
  2. I hope you have a great birthday, Evan!
  3. That commercial creeps me out!
  4. If you've ever had the desire to tell a chicken what to do. Here's the site for you: http://www.subservientchicken.com/
  5. Thanks Alexander! I'm on my first run through of this disc. So far, I really like it. I don't know if I'll be able to make correct guesses, but I'll post more after I've heard it a few more times. :rsmile:
  6. Jim, I think I need a scorecard!
  7. RIGHT ON!
  8. I want to get the Mulligan and the Parlan sometime. Including my recent purchase from this morning, I've ordered 4 Mosaic Completes and two Selects in the last couple of weeks. My recent, yet undelivered, order is two Completes and two Selects. I wonder how large the shipping box will be? The most I ever ordered at one time, from Mosaic, till now, has been two Complete boxes. I suppose Mosaic will ship all items in the same package? It should come in one box. I received two regular sets plus four selects in one box. As usual, packed very well.
  9. This will be my son's first real Easter. We're taking him to see the Easter Bunny on Saturday. He's really excited. I hope you all have a safe and nice holiday.
  10. I really shouldn't have done this, but I also ordered: Gerry Mulligan Horace Parlan Joe Pass I think I've gone nuts, I took two years off and then ordered 9 sets plus 4 selects within a three week period.
  11. I remember reading that you were trying to decide which SINGLE Vee Jay set to purchase. But, I see how it is, you purchased BOTH sets. Ha! Yeah, I'm back to some of my old ways. But.... I really am going to slow down ..... and I didn't even mention the other sets I ordered with the Vee-Jays (I was just too embarrassed )
  12. I wouldn't feel bad if I were you R/T. What's wrong with being passionate about this music? I may not participate in your AH threads (just because I'm not that familiar with track names - i just throw CDs on the player), but I've always enjoyed your enthusiasm. If Alfred Lion wasn't passionate about jazz, there'd have been no Blue Note. Loving this music is a good thing, it keeps it alive. Life sucks without passion.
  13. I'm waiting for the two Vee-Jay sets to arrive.
  14. That's crazy!
  15. Welcome!! This is a great place to hang out.
  16. Last night's show was so bad it was funny. I liked the comment towards John Stevens, that the judge had seen better high school musical performances. You could just see it on his face, that poor guy knows he is outclassed. If I had a dog, I know he would have been howling during that show.
  17. Actually, the show I'm really hooked on is Nashville Star. It's like an American Idol of country music. B)
  18. You could just ask B3-er to put you on the Political Forum Ignore list. No muss, no fuss.
  19. I'm another Idol watcher. My wife loves the show and I love my wife... Elton John night, arf! I agree that John Stevens has lasted too long. He doesn't even do a decent Sinatra, but you get him on the pop tunes and it's bad. I was sad that Leah got voted off. I thought she had something. I think somebody wants Jasmine to win. She's okay, but her pitch isn't.
  20. Welcome!
  21. Sorry! I was just going to buy one, but.... that "Buy It" button is so easy to press.
