IMHO, Torres is currently the best forward player in the world. I think Torres proved it again today.

Any recommendation will be appreciated. I'm interested especially in your opinion on his DG set and the EMI set.

Still have my copy from 1977 that I used to guide my early steps into jazz. I owe it a great deal. same here, lost my copy a few years ago but still know a lot of it by heart... thanks allen, will check out that site... I bought it when I've started listening to jazz, in 1990-91 and at that time it was the bible for me. I still take a look at this book from time to time.

I ordered this set: Jacqueline Du Pré: The Complete Recordings. 18 £ on Amazon UK (17 CDs). What I was looking for is her recordings with Barenboim and Perlman but when I saw the price I decided to order this set.
