  2. Ooh! Have a couple records in that series but not the Diabaté... Now, Ramsey McLean + The Lifers -- History's Made Every Moment. New Orleans Now! -- (Prescription, US)
  3. Looks nice. Now: David Eyges + Byard Lancaster -- The Arrow -- (Music Unlimited, US)
  4. Don Pullen + Milford Graves -- Nommo -- (SRP, US) think I appreciate this album more now, listening to it back to back with In Concert at Yale University. There's an interesting flow to the program and they go together better than apart.
  5. just got that today. Looking forward to giving it a listen.

  11. David Wojnarowicz -- Cross Country -- (Reading Group, UK) audio journal readings from 1989, stunning.

  13. when was Charles originally scheduled? I can't recall what night.
  14. I've never felt that the recordings come in any way close to seeing him live, which is always a treat.
  15. my issues with NB seem to be on the side of mastering, which I believe they often do from MP3s or similarly compressed files.
  16. I think I have a couple with stereo records in mono sleeves, actually -- Tears for Dolphy and Mohawk.
  17. my guess is they ran out of stereo jackets and just used the extra mono sleeves.
  18. Terumasa Hino -- at Berlin Jazz Festival '71 -- (JVC, JP)
  19. RIP. I'd suppose not too many pianists of his school and generation are left.
  20. I think Cecil was pulling William's leg. A lot of these guys love a good yarn. I have heard the broken wrists story before, not just from Sunny.
