  1. Haha...I could say the same thing, but I have a lot of records that fit that description. Not for lack of quality that is but just harder and harder to find time to listen to things with a growing family. I do remember enjoying this 2LP though.. Better than finding things in your collection that are still sealed...
  2. Haven't listened to that in at least ten years. I guess the title befits my copy.
  3. Aha! That Guido Manusardi has long been a curious item.
  4. Those are my favorite diesel engines! They were GM's F series, which were produced between, I believe, 1939 and 1960. Very art deco. They kind of epitomized the spirit of progress and motion that typified the era. The two most common models were the F3 and F7. I suspect that is an F3 though the distinctions are subtle. As a recovering rail geek, my friend, I'm forced to point out that those are E's, not F's. E9 set I believe.
  5. Dino Valente - Dino - (Epic)
  6. Man, wish I had seen this in time to nab Swinging Macedonia!
  7. Yes, the Hubleys are the parents of Georgia Hubley, drummer/vocalist for Yo La Tengo (YLT are big jazz fans too).
  8. Neu! - Neu! 2 - (Metronome/Brain GER)
  9. Amon Düül II - Phallus Dei - (Liberty, GER)
  10. Hope that they've correctly spelled Omar Ali's name on the packaging...
  11. Facebook. I am FB 'friends' with Watts. He was VERY public about this.
  12. Yeah, I saw that and though he is certainly a major improviser, it wasn't his band. Ridiculous if you ask me - pull out because you don't like the length of the paragraph about you on the Oto website?
  13. First pressings of that are not easy to find. I like that record.
  14. Four distinctive and wonderful improvisers, but I would have to save the box for retirement listening (that is if I can retire). I can barely make it through a Mosaic anymore (time and attention, not quality-related), and that is starting to bum me out.
  15. Thought I had this but I don't. Would've given it to you if I had it!
  16. RIP. That Groovin' Blue LP is excellent. I believe I have his work on a few other discs that I'll have to dig out later. Fine, fine player.
  17. Hmm, might need to find that one. J-F Jenny Clarke always makes an album a must have.
  18. I really like that record. Would have liked to have been in attendance in 1968 when the Dollar Brand group with Byard Lancaster and Walter Booker played at the Museum of Modern Art. The original pressing of this is definitely very high on my wants list. Great, great LP.
  19. 9th and 10th for me, definitely, as well as the CT shows.
  20. I have the UK Polydor issues of this material and they sound excellent, no crackle or other issues.
  21. yes, ICP 10. I hadn't either and it seemed like a good fit.
  22. Misha Mengelberg & Han Bennink - untitled (Two New Ways To Draw A Circle) - (ICP, NL)
