  1. Green River - Come On Down - (Homestead)
  2. Maneri wasn't Jewish. Another one: bassist Absalom Ben Shlomo.
  3. The Flaming Lips - Oh My Gawd... - (Restless orig, clear vinyl) Was in the mood for something goofy and this hit the spot.
  4. What Chuck said. His vibes/marimba playing on that Dixon set is tremendous. The Logan is interesting, though I'm not sure yet if it is essential. I need to spend more time with it.
  5. I mean, I don't care what she looks like (gross), it just seems surprising that she doesn't want "attention." Or maybe she has a problem with it being from outside of her industry.
  6. Crippled Eyes Jackson. Sounds about right.
  7. The "Promo" will also deter eBay no-bootleg rules.
  8. Miles' cover is a slightly later edition (Hannan's is from the 1st, which goes for the big bucks). I actually prefer the Reid Miles jacket.
  9. Did you enjoy Gary Higgins? I saw him a year or two ago, 'twas excellent.
  10. Daah-Daah-Dah-DAAH... Dah-DAH-DUH-Duh-Daaah
  11. New issue of Paris Transatlantic up here. Interviewed: Evan Parker Reviews by yours truly: Bill Dixon, Chicago Underground Duo, Charlie Nothing, Melee, etc. And some fine reviews of Gebhard Ullmann, Lucky 7's, and things far from the jazzical realm.
  12. I don't know why, but I never think of that when I listen to Max. Though his compositional style kind of tires me out for whatever reason.
  13. Really need to get a replacement for my conked burner b/f the BFT assignment is due!
  14. I've got a ratty copy of this as well that I had to pry out of a self-professed Rolling Stones completist.
  15. Aargh - I have it on LP but currently no easy means to transfer it. When are you wanting to do the show?
  16. German pressings would have a German address and American pressings would have an American one and, early on, a Polydor logo.
  17. Got those on vinyl also but they are recommended.
  18. Charlie Mariano - & The Chris Hinze Combination - (Intercord)
  19. My head just exploded.
  20. I don't know, but the year would have been '64/'65. There was no NYAQ after that as Tchicai returned to Copenhagen.
