  1. 'Lorraine Geller at the Piano' (Japanese Dot)
  2. Newsflash - the Sonny Clark fetched $3.5k Sonny Clark LP
  3. Aha, of course ! I think I might have seen the Roling Rod Levitt on Paris Jazz Corner's site on one occasion. I have the US Riverside issue - great LP. The Dollar Brand I picked up in a local shop for £5. Not mint but not too bad either.
  4. Can't believe there are people out there who are actually umming and ahing about the Mobley. Grab it ! The Elvin Jones might well disappear within the next year I guess so that would be on my list. As would the Max Roach..
  5. Indeed ! Brownie - why is it that you always get these LPs for less than me? I have the 'Urge' also but on the Japanese pressing. The other Roling Fontanas I have are the British pressings of the Dollar Brand and the New York Art Quartet.
  6. Have a great birthday ! Big 40, eh !
  7. I actually have that Cecil Taylor on the Danish Debut. Not a bad copy either. :rsmile:
  8. I think I paid £15 for an excellent copy of the UK Fontana with the Roling sleeve - that was a pretty good find.
  9. and, of course, if there happens to be a problem with the disks or packaging after transit, they will sort it out for you without hesitation.
  10. I'll stick with my double sided NY USA deep groove of 1588 (mono with ear). Same laminated cover as the ebay item. I wonder if it was pressed with the 47W63rds and inherited the later labels? Sure sounds like a 47W63rd.. and the labels are clean
  11. Definitely grab it ! I've passed on the Rare Groove vinyl of 'Move Your Hand' a couple of times. Wish I hadn't now.
  12. Wayne Shorter 'Night Dreamer' (BN NY USA mono)
  13. Looks like England manager Ericsson will finally be 'getting the boot' after the finals this Summer. One indiscretion too far.
  14. Hope it was a good one.
  15. It sounded better, the biggest improvement was bass frequency focus, with my previous stuff, Audio Reaserch LS22 and Mark Levinson 29. Considering the cost and the results, I wouldn't buy it again, expecially with Linn gears. I think that Linn's power supply (switching mode) is quite indifferent to power conditioner, at least to my ears. Thanks, porcy and blake ! I suspect that it would not help much either in my case, with the Lingo and XPS power supplies.
  16. This must be a record for a less than mint Bud Powell vinyl set: Bud Powell BN Mosaic
  17. Did you find that the power conditioner made much difference, porcy?
  18. Is it true that the 'Jazz In Britain' is from the same sessions that also resulted in Alan Skidmore's 'Once Upon A Time'? Looking forward to this batch of Vocalions..
  19. Dexter Gordon Quartet Manhattan Symphonie' (UK CBS) Dexter Gordon and Slide Hampton 'A Day In Copenhagen' (MPS/BASF UK pressing)
  20. Jazztet set disks 5, 6 and 7 this weekend.
  21. Better than the original ! Thanks for sharing.
  22. Eric Dolphy 'Fire Waltz' (Prestige 2LP set by RCA with Ken McIntyre's 'Looking Ahead' and Mal Waldron's 'The Quest'). Nice notes by McIntyre.
  23. Well, that would be a bit drastic, then... instead just let me mention that back in that *other* zweit/zyx-boxes sale two years or so ago, I *did* get the Evans Fantasy, for, if memory serves me right, around 15 euro-zlotys... that should be punishment enough Outrageous ! I think it had sold out before I got my order in...
  24. Whopeee ! Only that you mis-quoted and it's not me that got it Woops - apologies. 'Off with his head !'
