'Miles Davis Greatest Hits', the mid-70s compilation LP. After that I bought the 'Bitches Brew' and 'Big Fun' 2LP sets on the same day from the local store as I recall. Even remember the price - £2.99 each !

The 'Tolliver' fills me with eager anticipation ! Agree that Kenny Werner is well overdue a BN date of his own. Much impressed with his North Sea Fest performance with Kenny Wheeler last month. Maybe a BN date with Wheeler for a follow-up perhaps?

I can feel a possible half day trip to London coming on !

This one is already endearing itself to me big time. She has a great voice and the backing group includes Ken McIntyre and Jaki Byard. Recommended ! Wonder what happened to Honi Gordon? (after the 'Mingus Moves' recordings - the most recent I know of hers).

I thought they didn't ship to the UK ? Sadly, they don't but a Stateside board member very kindly helped out.

My Fantasy 'job lot' has arrived here safely in the UK. Some more good listening tonight (first on deck - 'Lem's Beat' )

Again, sad news. I've never heard the Blue Note album but the comments here make me want to check it out. RIP.

I have 'The Phantom' and the 'Say It Loud' and 'Eddie Gales Ghetto Music' on Water CD. All of them excellent - up to Mosaic-type production standard in fact. 'Black Rhythm Happening' I have on 'Four Men With Beards' vinyl (also good) and the 'Brown Sugar' on Blue Note original vinyl.
