  1. John Coltrane AFRICA BRASS, original Impulse! RVG stereo and John Coltrane IMPRESSIONS, original Impulse! RVG stereo
  2. Actually I didn't buy the first record, I stolen a copy of Bitches Brew from my uncle, he didn't like it.
  3. HOT TUNA DOUBLE DOSE
  4. This usually true, but with a great and expensive (compared to cd player's price) analog front end you will not miss the dynamic! B-)
  5. My worse vinyl nightmare is break a record of a big Mosaic set like Art Blakey or Miles Davis. Actually I broke one Lp of the Band's The Last Waltz. I had to buy another copy!
  6. I think it is dangerous and painful to think about how much you could get if you waited to sell. Consider how much you could get now if one of your ancestors in a holiday in Paris would had buy a painting directly from an hungry and poor Picasso, instead of some stupid champagne bottle!
  7. Does it means you wish to sell them?
  8. I don't know Leavitt, but it's true, Jeff Barr is a little cheaper, and one of my favorite seller! On the other hand Ron Rambach always sent me wonderful records with additional audiophile grade outer and inner sleves! Very classy! The most valuable thing of their job is the accurate grading of records. I mean you know for what you throw your money!
  9. Jeff Barr and Ron Rambach are still active, both in Calif., I bought some records from them recently. Yes, their prices are at market level, but in the average high price market and the ebay jungle, their courtesy and service are unvaluable for me. I did not have a single problems about replacing or refund or shipping. I am happy there are people like them in today's market.
  10. This is definitely out of topic, but it's a story about shipping from and to Canada. I visited Canada, the Pacific coast up to Yukon and the Rocky Mountains parks, three years ago with my family. We flight to Vancouver from Rome and Air Canada lost one luggage. My son leaved a small bag in the RV we rented in Calgary, so when we were back in Rome I phoned to the RV rent company and they sent our bag, this bag never arrived. A week ago I saw a Parlan Mosaic LP set on Ebay, I really wanted it, it had a BIN price reasonable, but..it was in Canada. I passed BTW I loved my holidays in Canada!! Really!
  11. For sunday morning : Herbie's MAIDEN VOYAGE, NY, mono, ear.
  12. Obviously you don't live in a country where football is a national obsession like Italy. Every day I start with the barman talking about football in the morning when I got my first coffee, in my workplace my collegues talk about football, I switch on the tv and they are talking about football, half of the newspapers is about football, and you have all the gossip about football players' girlfriends....endless. Believe me, it's not easy.
  13. I like him as a person, I find him a nice and funny guy. I don't like his music, actually I always dismissed it as "too sweet", never cared for it, but I will try to find a vinyl copy of the recorder you named.
  14. It seems someone struggling hard to survive if you consider the prices on ebay!
  15. Elton John?
  16. I love this album! I have to admit my copy is cd. Shame, shame, shame on me! I forgive you. It was only chance that mine is vinyl. I am always amazed at what people give to the Salvation Army and to Goodwill. We don't have such a charitable organizations for vinyl lovers!
  17. I don't want to start an argument here, but if Sony did a better job on it, putted more money for advertising and keep the prices lower than cds, more poeple would have been convinced about it, maybe not an hardcore vinyl fan like me, (I don't want to enter in an unfruitful discussion about what medium sounds better), but the average customers, because the success of a format is not on jazz and classical audiophile listener (that are a niche). If all the new musical issues would have been on Hybrid SACD, if if..., we all lost an occasion, but I blame Sony for that. But I do start an argument, sorry about that! Feel free to drop it, in Greg absentia.

  20. Hmm, pity Greg Maltz isn't around anymore (at least not here)
  21. CD's notes are reticent as BN site! Your last chance is asking Michael or Chuck!
