  5. Can you name well known musicians that were house musicians in clubs? I know George Cable was the house pianist at the Keystone Korner. Tony Oxley was the house drummer at Ronnie Scott's. Would Albert Heath been the house drummer at the Montmartre Jazzhus in Copenhagen? He is on some many recordings in the 60s from that place. Marian McPartland had a regular gig at the Hickory House in NYC. I don't know if you would consider that the house pianist. NHOP was the house bass platyer at Montmartre.
  6. Sorry to hear he past away. It takes balls to go into battle and photograph.
  7. Buddy is known for both piano and vibes. There's not that much available by him as a leader. I do have "A Love Affair in Paris." The only other session that seems to be available is "Live at Maybeck Recital Hall, Vol. 15." Anyone have this? Is it worth getting?

NFL legend Junior Seau found dead at his California home TMZ is reporting retired NFL star Junior Seau is dead, and the police are investigating a shooting in his home: NFL legend Junior Seau was found dead in his home in Oceanside, CA ... and cops are investigating a shooting ... multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ. Cops are currently at Seau's home just outside San Diego. Seau was 43-years-old ... and leaves behind 3 kids and an ex-wife. Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler and 6-time First-Team All-Pro, was selected fifth overall in the 1990 NFL draft after an outstanding collegiate career at USC. He played with the San Diego Chargers through the 2002 season, spent 2003-2005 with the Miami Dolphins, and then signed with the New England Patriots in time for the 2006 season. In New England's perfect regular season of 2007, he played in all 16 games and started four. Seau first retires after that season, only to come back and play in 2008 and 2009 before finally leaving the NFL for good. "I'm going to go surf," he told Showtime upon his January, 2010 retirement announcement. Whatever happens, I can say, honestly say, that that probably was my last game." Seau is the eighth member of the Chargers 1994 Super Bowl team to pass. We will keep you updated on this story as more news is confirmed. Article Cops are now saying it was suicide.

  20. Yup. Couldn't agree more. When you play together for years you begin know and anticipate what will happen. The Coltrane Quartet is another example. Today Randy Weston's been playing with the same musicians for years. The only change in that band was when Benny Powell past away. Not that many more groups can make that claim.
