  5. I can name the artists, but the site won't post what I type. The few I didn't know the site wouldn't allow me to move on to the next item. Slow, slower, slowest.
  6. Yum. What time should I be there?
  7. That's a fact, too. Fred Lewis was a walking, talking disaster on two legs in LF. Panda will get better once he learns that every pitch coming to him isn't a HR ball. He needs to settle down and wait on the pitch. Lincecum will only improve with age. Pitching isn't the issue in SF. Hitting is.
  8. Meanwhile, the Giants are coming right out and saying they won't be going after Matt Holliday or Jason Bay. Too expensive. Instead, Brian Sabean says, there are plenty of good "second tier" prospects out there. Perfect. Isn't this what killed the Giants the last two seasons? The team needs a hitter and all the front office wants to do is mine the bargain bin. Well....so much for next year. Grrrrr
  9. What's on your Thanksgiving menu this year? Every year we BBQ the bird. I make a basil olive oil and rub the entire turkey with it then put several sprig's of basil in the cavity. Rub in a liberal amount of sea salt and coarse ground pepper. Add a cup of H2O to the bottom of the disposable roasting pan, cover with foil and let it cook with the lid cocked slightly open. Additionally, I smoke the bird on the grill with pre-soaked hickory or mesquite wood chips and baste with the ensuing juices. Takes about five hours [for a 20+ pound turkey] and the gravy is to die for
  10. Idris Muhammad Bernard Purdie Joe Dukes Joe Beiden Joe Morgan Joe Torre
  11. Har. Youthful indiscretion is all.
  12. Me, too. A month ago, I had tests and an x-ray to check my cough, too. I came out OK...but it still scares the shit out of me. You see, my mother had that same cough and went undiagnosed for years untill the cancer she had already took over her entire body. It was too late once they discovered it. She died five years later. So, I am very glad the tests turned out to be in your favor, Tom.
  13. Still the best pitcher in the NL, Jon.
  14. Atta Kid!!! San Francisco Chronicle
  15. Stefanie Powers Lee Remick Sandra Dee
  16. I get this dry, hacking cough every Fall and then again in the Spring. It is mostly allergy driven, but the poor air quality is also a factor.
  17. We Giants fans once thought that way about Barry Bonds, too.....but we got over it.
  18. Hang in there, Brudda.
  19. Um. Why....? Nostalgia, no doubt.
  20. And a very happy birthday from me, too
  21. Yeah...how 'bout them Saints? Seriously....I think it would be really cool to see them in the Super Bowl this year
  22. Is it a temporary condition? If so, count your blessings. The ringing in my ears is constant and never ending. Silence is my enemy.
