  1. Hope it's a great day!
  2. Here's hoping it's a great day, Neal!
  3. Happiest of Happys, Paul!
  4. Thanks, Dan. I appreciate the thought.
  5. Happiest of Happys!
  6. Thanks, Guys. Enjoying a birthday glass of wine even as I type. Red of course
  7. Agreed. Well put, Jon.
  8. Looks like Manningham and Wright are back with the Niners. Good news for the Niners, bad news for Asomugha who just got cut.
  9. I would just keep it away from flame or exposed flesh.
  10. He's battling memory loss. Besides, at 40, I don't think he's the guy any more.
  11. Thanks, Aloc. I thought you halved the ABV % to get the proof number. Apparently you double it. No doubt. Must taste like battery acid and burn all the way down. Yep. 200 proof is 100 percent alcohol. I think Everclear was something like 190 proof. (Obviously not beer.) Holy crap! Back when I was in my 20s, I tried Everclear on a dare. I was told it was 100% alcohol. So that is 200 proof? Wow. Burned like a M----- F-----, but it put me on my ass.
  12. The Cleveland and Jets wins were certainly a surprise. If not for that bonehead keeper in the red zone and missed FG, the Texans were on their way to upsetting the Colts. Seahawks just plain got lucky. Strange year.

  14. That would be 30 proof, wouldn't it? I'd say that puts this beer in the malt liquor category, myself.
  15. So...is somebody going to start a Hot Stove Thread?
  16. Thanks for the correction, Dan. I should have said "when he was available." Still, it would have been nice to have his bat in the Giants' line-up.
  17. I was thinking about that trade the other day. How did it work out for the Dodgers? Did those high-salaried guys they got from the Red Sox help them finish first? Adrian Gonzalez was his usual strong self; Crawford was hurt and mostly just OK and Beckett was terrible then lost to season-ending surgery. Gonzalez was the prize of the pick and Crawford is now officially an over-priced platoon outfielder with a ridiculous contract. Beckett if I am not mistaken is actually under contract for just one more year. If not it can't be longer than two more years. On the other hand, none of the prospects had an impact this season. If they turn out to be stars, and two of the pitchers are on the cusp of the majors, then it becomes a more uneven trade. I think it was a good move for the BoSox. It opened up a few spots on the roster and ultimately won a WS for them. The Dodgers, OTOH, got Gonzalez but not much else for those millions they spent. How I wish the Giants would have picked him up when he was a free agent coming from the Pads.
  18. Got the CD Friday and it is, top to bottom, seriously good, Jim. You really captured that whole B3 vibe from the 60s Jazz scene, IMHO. Well played
  19. Thank you for reminding me why I don't converse with you or Schwartz...on any level. What was I thinking. My bad.
  20. ONE guy. And you have an issue? Pssh. The Yankees bought and paid for WS wins irrespective of PEDs. Give back all those WS wins and AL East championships then. Amazing.
  21. Maybe he's just that good. Or is PEDs the only answer? Yankees jealous hate knows no bounds, apparently. A-Roid and Giambi [perhaps Jeter?] are shinning examples of PEDs. But they are New York Yankees players. They don't count. Sad.
  22. I second that! Thanks! It's a great feeling, isn't it? Enjoy, Dan
  23. It actually feels like Fall around these parts
