I haven't said two words to you until today. [saved for posterity.] Now how about it, Moderators? A simple check of this guy's posts will prove and beyond a shadow of a doubt, his single minded purpose is to stalk me, goad me and otherwise be a colossal asshole on this BBS. Have you not noticed the sheer weight in numbers of threads he posts on to monopolize this BBS? Boot this guy! And if you won't do that, delete my account.

BTW...you can call me Tim Once again, edit out my name you stalker. Not my edit, Pal. Look little one...ever hear of a website called FaceBook? You tried to friend me one time [all a part of this weird ass fixation you have on me and the teams I support or whatever else gets your undies in a bunch] so I did a little research on the Friends lists of people I know that have you as their 'friend' [Why, I haven't a clue]. I easily found the link between you and your posts as it relates to "Louis S-------". Even kid like you could do it. This isn't rocket science, you know...and judging by your response(s) I was spot on. Now beg off creep. Moderators: For the sake of all humanity, boot this weirdo.

I read Rex Ryan took the team out to some pub after ending practice early. Wise move? Probably not given the next day's performance. BTW...you can call me Tim

Who said they only lost twice? [ my first draft clearly stated "have lost the last two games by a total of four points" not the post time vs. the edit time; third edit was for syntax] All four losses came against very good teams. Carolina is in 2nd, Seahawks are running away from the NFC West, the 1st place Colts are a quality club as are the 1st place Saints. This is no "cupcake" schedule. Look who the Rams just beat. Arizona is 6-4. The Jets, OTOH, couldn't win a game of full contact bumper cars. That's all I'm saying to you..watch the game not the stats. And quit fixating on me, Louis. God that's creepy.

Jim Alfredson's Dirty Fingers - A Tribute To Big John Patton
Tim McG replied to Jim Alfredson's topic in Announcements
After giving this CD a second listen, I have to say I love your guy on tenor and on vibes! That octave work on guitar is fabulous, too. This CD just gets better and better with every spin, Jim. -
To all the Alex Smith fans: Who have the Chiefs played? The only bonafide win they have was against a hapless Eagles squad when they were on a losing streak. They have played tomato cans the rest of the season [nearly losing to the Texans...who?] then get stomped by the only good team [Denver] on their schedule so far. I'm guessing the Colts then [again] the Denver Broncos will feed them their lunch the next time, too. A good HS QB could look good with the Chiefs. Niners, OTOH, have lost the last two games by a total of four points against top quality opponents. The first two losses have come against top teams, as well. Their OC Greg Roman has the offense so locked up they can't pass on any down. And again, running up the middle is old-school "keep them honest" offense. Then we have to listen to how Kaepernick's low passing percentage is worse than that statue Smith. Geez. Watch the game, not your ipods. Statistics tell only part of the story. Carry on
-
Well, Greg Roman [with the help of a piss poor O-Line and piss poor referee calls] keeps an otherwise sterling Niners Defense from winning...again. He's running Gore and Hunter up the gut, up the gut, up the gut. GEEZ. Maybe he could allow Kaepernick to come out with a pass a little sooner? And what is this start-stop delay at the line of scrimmage bullshit anyway? If Roman would just get the hell out of the way and let the real 49ers team win [Read: Defense] and/or control the game, they'd be at least 8-2 right now. Niners-D is what has led this team for three years now and Roman keeps shutting the offense down with his conservative and oh-so-predictable play calling. Last week's 4th and 1 at the goal line then wimp out on that bark the other guys offsides garbage looms large right now. FGs won't get it done, Roman. Open up the Offense, dammit! Maybe the Wildcard, who can tell at this point. Pssh.

Sorry to learn this. The names in the article, including McCormack's, read like a who's-who of my childhood football memories. Rest in Peace.

Don Cheadle may play Miles Davis in biopic

At any rate, I don't plan on missing this one. -
Having family in Wisconsin, I was shocked when the Braves moved to Atlanta. I was 12. I can also and vividly remember Hank Aaron's HR to beat the Babe. I even had Aaron's baseball card in my long since gone collection. Unfortunately, I never got to watch him play in person. Sadly, the game is no longer a fan oriented sport. It is just another business.

what are you drinking right now?
Tim McG replied to alocispepraluger102's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Coffee. Black. And in a cup. -
If the Dodgers make that TV deal that is bad news for anyone living in Central California. FoxSports is already trying to monopolize the baseball viewing up here by encroaching on the NorCal Sports market; specifically, the Giants. More money means more clout with which to do that.

I'm in. Pretend coffee for those without taste buds. Ack -
When they built ATT it was done with corporate money. Only the land was given to the project [which was just a collection of abandoned buildings in China Basin as I recall] so the taxpayer came out OK. The bad news is the ticket prices are absurdly high now. Even the nose bleeds cost $40-50+ bucks. Either way they do it, the fans take it in the shorts.

Thanks, Jazzbo

Well, if there is any good news to that anomaly, maybe the Rammies can beat the Seahawks and help out the Niners. Nah.

Don't forget to say 'I love you'

Glad your wife is doing better...that stuff is seriously scary. Having had a mild heart attack [then was hit with a virus which they had to take two liters of fluid out of the bag which surrounds the heart] I almost cashed it in. You just don't know when something could happen. Thank you for sharing this, my friend. Best to you and your wife. -
I get your point, but isn't Turner field pretty beat down? That's what I have heard. Well, the Braves' management says this: Turner Field has served the Braves well since 1997, but it is in need of major infrastructure work, which will cost around $150 million. These upgrades are functional ones, such as replacing worn-out seats or upgrading the stadium's lighting, and they would do little to significantly enhance the fan experience. If the Braves were to pay for additional projects focused on improving the fan experience, the additional costs could exceed $200 million. I don't really know what they're talking about. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what upgrades Turner Field needs, but I think most visitors would be surprised to hear that the Braves think it needs that much work. On my last visit, a couple of months ago, the only negative I noticed was that the lighting in the corridors seemed a little dim, but that certainly wasn't a major issue for me. My impression was that the seats were just fine, that the sightlines were excellent (not a bad seat in the house), that the field was beautiful and well-lit, that the concession choices were widely varied, from cheap hotdogs and nachos to gourmet sandwiches and steaks and PBR to craft beers, that there were lots of activities and entertainment for fans before the game (and during it, if the kids got bored), and that the organ was played by an excellent jazzman, Matt Kaminski. (Okay, he didn't play jazz at this gig, but his sarcastic song choices to introduce the opposing players were pretty funny.) Maybe Turner Field does need 150-200 million dollars of work after 16 years of operation. That seems excessive to me, but maybe it does. The projections for the new facility are around $672 million. (That's the stadium and surrounding infrastructure.) The Braves won't be paying all of that, of course, but they will certainly be spending more than they would if they stayed put. I guess they are pretty sure they'll recoup their investment, but "throwing away" a perfectly good, relatively new baseball stadium seems insane to me. Fair enough. I was just relating to what an acquaintance told me who is from the Atlanta area. It does seem insane. I had forgotten about Fulton Stadium and how bad it was when they built this stadium. Didn't realize it has only been since 1997. Thanks for the local take on things, Jeff.

It was indeed! Chocolate cake [homemade, of course] and family time. Great day

Is it just me or are there more prima donnas in the league than before? Ed Reed dumped by Texans; whines about coaching: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/houston-texans-release-ed-reed-outcoached-comments-175429450--nfl.html?vp=1

Aw, come on, Tim; you were doing so well ignoring him! I'll just have to try harder, then
-
You noticed that, too. Given the one way conversation he's having with himself on the MLB thread he hates the Giants/Goodie there, as well. Looks like Jerry Jones is experiencing some remorse over firing Rob Ryan...especially after yesterday's drubbing vs the Saints: http://nesn.com/2013/11/jerry-jones-admits-firing-rob-ryan-wasnt-best-idea-after-ryan-saints-destroy-cowboys-monte-kiffin/ Niners, OTOH, should have gone for the TD on that 4th and one. I have no idea why they, oh, wait...Roman is still their OC, huh. Never mind.
