  11. When did William Henderson start playing with Pharoah? He's a great foil, as his style has qualities of both Tyner and Lonnie Liston Smith to my ears.
  12. Congratulations for surviving that one.

  16. While I love Pharoah, I can't argue with that characterization of some of his playing with Trane.
  17. I think at one point Brightman was distributing remaindered Muse CDs after the label folded.
  18. I think any CD player can develop laser alignment issues, but I think it may have been more common in the early days of the technology. I haven't had a dedicated CD player for years. Since I have a setup that includes TV and audio system in one place I use DVD and Blu-Ray players to play my CDs.
  19. Where was Joe Fields? There was a Fields/Brightman connection, wasn't there?
  20. I have the Cherry session and it's pretty interesting, which was supposedly an unreleased date for Savoy. IIRC, Pharoah plays more out on it than on his own ESP date. Anybody know the personnel of the Bley date, and was it an unreleased ESP session? The fact that two of the 3 titles appear on Barrage suggest that it might have been an abandoned Barrage session.

Well, it's not really hi-fi, so maybe he was saying "Go to hell."
  22. Kudos! I love when people use rarely-used words correctly. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing the verb eventuate used, so I looked it up to make sure it was indeed a proper usage.
