  1. I don't understand your point. Whom did you expect to deliver it?
  2. Baby Boy Warren: Detroit Blues 1949-1954 (Kingfish)
  3. NY Times obituary: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/25/obituaries/buell-neidlinger-dies.html
  4. One I've never heard.
  5. They should move Sanchez to first base - a least part time. He couldn't be any worse defensively there than he is behind the plate. Plus Romine would give them better catching, both defensively and handling pitchers.
  6. Territory Bands - What Kind of Rhythm Is That? (Frog)
  7. John Littlejohn: So-Called Friends (Rooster Blues)
  8. Lightnin' Sam Hopkins (Arhoolie)
  9. The Curtis Counce Group: Landslide
  10. The Boss of the Blues - Joe Turner Sings Kansas City Jazz
  11. Charles Tyler: Eastern Man Alone (ESP) Listening to this, I sometimes had the sense that I was hearing a string group, given Tyler's tone and the cello and two bassists playing with him.
  12. Fats Waller Volume 5 - CD A
  13. Hank Mobley: Another Workout
  14. Ngoma - The Early Years, 1948-1960 (Popular African Music)
  15. Etta Baker: One Dime Blues (Rounder)
  16. Papa Charlie Jackson: Fat Mouth 1924-1927 (Yazoo)
  17. Jackie McLean - John Jenkins: Alto Madness
  18. If the friend likes it, I guess he's got a LOT of better Mingus music to look forward to.
  19. Sounds fairly ordinary to me. I can understand why Alfred Lion didn't release it. On the other hand, I know that there are those who want to hear everything that Lee Morgan recorded.
  20. Charles Gayle ain't easy but, when the time is right, he's worth it.
  21. Yeah! Sandy Bull recorded with Billy Higgins a couple of times and later with Denis Charles. He picked good drummers.
