  5. It usually works for me. Once in a while, I click and nothing happens. I have no idea why.
  6. I hope that the Yankees have big trouble with that number and that Harper stays with the Nationals.

  11. I don't know how "Yankee fans" feel about it, but I won't miss him for a second. If that's cold, so be it.
  12. A-Rod is retiring as of Friday. Now if C.C. retires, the Yankees can start rebuilding for real.
  13. The Complete Teddy Wilson Piano Solos (Columbia France) Some trios in there also - wonderful music.
  14. Sandy Koufax The Desert Fox Doonesbury
  15. We found it a nice and relaxing city.
  16. Cliff Jordan - John Glmore: Blowing In From Chicago Both of these gentlemen went on to other things and broadened their horizons but, for pure creative and adventurous blowing, I don't think that either of them surpassed what they played on this record - perhaps equaled, but never surpassed. Great rhythm section too - Curly Russell should have gotten more record dates later on in his career.
  17. As for 78 DeeJaying, a friend of mine told me about a guy in Burlington, Vt. who had a collection of 78s and a windup Victrola. Supposedly, he played requests (within the repertoire of 78s he had with him at the time) for passersby. I'd looked forward to hearing him do his thing, but by the time I got to Burlington, he evidently was no longer around.
  18. Jolly Rancher Hoss Cartwright John Candy
  19. No casinos here, so no casino ads, with the exception of a very occasional TV ad for Atlantic City, Connecticut or Vegas. I just ignore those.
  20. Seems to be a bunch of outsiders who get together and try to outhip one another while sharing their collections. I guess I'm glad that they've found each other and have a part of society they feel comfortable in.
  21. I'll agree that Jackson Browne is grotesque.
  22. Cleanhead Vinson Gene Vincent The Blue Caps
  23. I'm sure that whoever bought them can look forward to some very enjoyable listening.
  24. A lot of birthdays lately, so if I missed yours - Happy Birthday, Lon!
