  1. Have it also. If I didn't, my $175 would be on its way. Seriously, someone should go for this - GREAT MUSIC & a fair price.
  2. Ellington Small Groups - disc 4
  3. You're gonna break us, Chuck. And thanks for doing so.
  4. Great cover photo - seconded! And I'm sure that the sound, given Chuck's history, will be an improvement on past issues.
  5. Haven't seen anything like that since the 1954 Cotton Bowl, when Tommy Lewis, who was on the Alabama bench, tackled SMU's Dickie Moegle as he was racing for a touchdown. (I actually only saw a video of that one, years after it happened.) Alosi should be fined and suspended, if not fired. Looks like this kind of thing is what happens when the Rex Ryan mentality takes over a team.
  6. Dolly Parton Tina Turner Bing Crosby
  7. Thanks for the link. I didn't know about this and am a big fan of both. Thanks again. Thanks here, also. Very fine and unusual.
  8. Let Texas have Lee. Jim will be happy - at least until the Rangers find a way to lose it all. They always have.
  9. Ellington Small Groups - disc 3
  10. Andy Messersmith Dave McNally Jim Hunter
  11. A shame that Hollywood types can't just make a contribution to a worthy cause without gathering together to kiss up to thugs, no matter what country they may come from.
  12. Adam Ant Auntie Mame Mamie Van Doren
  13. Ellington Small Groups - disc 2
  14. Had a similar experience with Honeyboy Edwards about 20 years ago. He printed "HONEYBOY" on a couple of albums. I think that I was probably more embarrassed than he was.
  15. I gave up asking for autographs a while back - decided that I was wasting time that the artists could use for creating or whatever else. Life is short enough. Broke that decision last year when I asked for and got an autograph from Professor Irwin Corey. Felt guilty afterward because he was 96 then and may have less time than most - who knows about that tho. He did seem pleased to be asked and to sign. All of that said, the one person I would be tempted to ask for an autograph, should the occasion arise, would be Cecil.
  16. Glad I don't live in Texas.
  17. I don't know if musicians should stay out of politics, but this is proof that politicians should definitely stay out of music.
  18. Make a copy for yourself to keep. Larry did the notes and they're worth reading and rereading.
  19. I have to say that I've never felt that way. If a player has given what he has, that's all I expect. If he fails, that's part of life. No debt owed. Just my opinion.
  20. I hope that Lee signs with Texas. Let the Rangers eat the last years on his contract after he burns out. I do hope that Andy Pettitte comes back but, if not, I'd like to see the Yanks give a couple of young pitchers a shot and see what happens. Might be interesting - certainly more interesting than constantly trying to buy a championship.
  21. Hope that means that there are some new releases in the air.
  22. Vladimir at Cadence - NorthCountry Audio is a good guy with fair prices: http://www.northcountryaudio.com/
  23. Happy Birthday! And, like others have said, hope to see you back here.
  24. Rubberlegs Williams James Brown Jimmy Slyde
  25. Billy Harper: Knowledge of Self (Denon)
