Emily Remler “Firefly” Concord cd I wish someone would assemble all her Concord work into a cd box set. Come on! This disc reminds me what great, tasteful drummer Jake Hanna was.

Marisa Monte “Rose and Charcoal” cd One of my favorite of hers. Up early as ye olde dog was feeling a bit wonky and wanted to tour the back yard earlier than usual. Will try to go back to sleep again in a bit. This disc sounds really good the way the system is set up lately.

I enjoyed that one.

Essence All Stars “Organic Groove” Hip Bop cd. Really nice grooving music and great relaxed sound. Joey DeFrancesco and Lonnie Smith on organ, Idris Muhammad on drums.

I've never become a French press fan. . . just doesn't do it for me. But I can see the appeal. I've become addicted to organic Mexican coffee, been drinking it for nearly 20 years now daily. Love the stuff!

Miki Yamanaka “Songs without Lyrics” Another great one from Miki that came with a personalized inscription on the cd and a postcard filled out with a personal message. Followed by Tom Harrell “Trip” High Note cd Mark Turner is the perfect companion for Tom Harrell on this quartet release. Sounds so good as well.

I gave up on coffee makers as within my marriages I have been the only coffee drinker and I went back to the way my Dad's mom used to make her coffee as she was a widow for 35 years. . . a drip cone. I find a mug made this way tastes so much better. Definitely recommend a try!

I'm an Oznow duster from way back when as well.

I don't think the style of music mattered much to my cat Marjorie Bouvier when she was growing up with me--it was volume that she had to get used to. I did a lot of early morning listening with her. As time went on higher volumes didn't upset her. She just wanted to be with me and would be snoozing on my lap.
