  3. Some heavy rain this morning! It was a hot night and I got up briefly at 3 but was able to convice Fiona the dachshund to let me go back to sleep. Starting off with a collection that it dawned on me that I needed and this first disc is killer! Grateful Dead “30 Trips Around the Sun: The Definitive Live Story 1965–1995” cd 1 of 4. I never did try to get the full 80 cd set. . . affectionately known as “the porch crusher”. . . but I wish I had made the effort.
  4. I can tell you already that imo in my system the albums "The Kicker" and "Dialog" sound better here than on US cd releases. A Japanese SHM-CD version of "Dialog" sounds a little different but very good as well. I think that it will turn out that this set has sound quality on top of or equal to any previous issues. . . I'll try to remember to update you as I get further into this set over the following days.

  19. There was no need for the AC unit nor fans last night–and two humans and one dog were very happy about that! A bit muggy this morning but nice! Starting the day off with two albums from this two cd set, “Conception: the Gift of Love” and “Un Poco Loco,” both Columbia releases.

Robert Parker/Jazz Classics in Digital Stereo “Duke Ellington – Swing 1930 To 1938” cd I found where I had placed about 18 of these “Digital Stereo” re-workings of classic earlier jazz and chose this one to listen to today.
