Dear Folk, I've been listening to a cassette of a NPR broadcast of Mingus' "Epitaph" work conducted by Gunther Schuller and performed in June 1989 from Wolf Trap. The cassette has just about or just over HALF the performance. I would love to be able to hear the second half of the performance! It was a very good night! One more wrinkle: I think I am remembering correclty that some of the Savoy Lateefs were actually field trips for Yusef and the working band, or recorded when they were in NY for gigs but they were still based in Detroit. . . .

I've gotten that sort of message before. It usually means that an item that was on the order has come into stock and applied towards the order awaiting the remainder of the order. . . .

I doubt they found any extra Nichols tracks Bertrand, wish they had. Wish "East Coasting" were in this batch!

I've had the same title on Fresh Sounds and TOCJ before. . . kept the TOCJs. I guess it's good that these are upgraded to 24 bit. . . and lp facimiled. . . . I'm not rebuying titles, but I might buy some I hadn't had on TOCJ before!

Hmmm. . . I don't ever remember being promised a complete Antibes set. Love to see one though!
