  8. Warmest morning yet. . .but rainy. Still nice to not have to wear heavy socks! Starting off with a new arrival to the mailbox: Miles Davis “Birth of the Blue” Columbia/Analogue Productions SACD I disclike the title and the concept of titling this but the music is excellent and the mastering is really good. One fault: it’s short. They could have added a little. I wasn’t going to purchase this but eventually I caved.
  9. Starting off with Tom Harrell "Oak Tree" High Note cd. Late start to listening today as my wife woke up early and we had a fun morning breakfast and relaxing time on the couch.

  13. Bill Evans “The Paris Concert Edition One” Blue Note cd Recorded by Radio France at L’Espace Cardin, Paris on November 26, 1979.
  14. “I owe Marilyn Monroe a real debt … she personally called the owner of the Mocambo, and told him she wanted me booked immediately, and if he would do it, she would take a front table every night. She told him – and it was true, due to Marilyn’s superstar status – that the press would go wild. The owner said yes, and Marilyn was there, front table, every night. The press went overboard." Ella to Ms magazine.
