I have mine in a box in storage somewhere. When I was working building machinery in the 'eighties I stopped wearing watches slowly and then entirely . . . I broke far too many crystals in my work.

I like all her cds but this one with maestro Jacques Morelenbaum is the best imo.

Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Jazz Center Orchestra “Big Train” Columbia cd
Was looking for an Ellington cd and decided to play this Ellingtonian one.
Another Ruby Braff I pulled from the shelves. On a few selections it sounds as if Ruby is right here.
“Variety is the Spice of Braff” Arbors Jazz cd

Almost every time I see this on the shelf I have to pull it out and play it. (Now for example).
Just a perfect disc is so many important ways. Players, song choices, engineering. . . wow.
Jovino Santos Neto Quinteto “A Causa de Voce” Adventure Music cd
Miles Davis “Bitches Brew” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 disc 1
Been some time since I listened to the remix. Great music in any form–I think I have ten different versions of this release, three on LP, two on SACD, five on cd. I rotate them in listening.
Alice Coltrane “Journey In Satchidananda” Impulse Japan UCGU-9086 SHM-SACD, 2025 gatefold LP facsimile.
I haven’t listened to this music in many years. All I have on hand to compare it to is a 20 bit digipak US version, this certainly sounds improved.
A nice morning, and I slept well, which was welcome. Starting off with another Andrew Hill, “Compulsion” on Blue Note, a Japanese SHM-CD version, UCCQ-5118.
Very percussive, and some interesting playing by John Gilmore.
Andrew Hill “Lift Every Voice” Blue Note Japan cd
I’ve grown to really love this one. This cd has the original 1969 session and a previously unreleased session from 1970.

Starting off a warm morning with the lovely sound of Ruby Braff & His Buddies “Controlled Nonchalance: Live at the Regatta Bar (Vol. 1)” Arbors Jazz cd
A very nice way to greet the new day.
I feel proud and happy that I was a part of Victor and Chris Albertson re-connecting after decades . . . they were friends from their youth and had long been out of touch.
Victor was a very nice man, a true jazz fan, and a generous spirit. I wish his family all the best.

Tim Warfield “Spherical–Dedicated to Thelonious Sphere Monk” Criss Cross cd
This is a great cd–clearly “Monk” but freshly arranged. And great engineering!
