    Well, I'm not holding my breath. . . UBIK has been sequentially optioned just about since it's release as a novel, and nothing has ever come of it. Ugh. . . PKD Pixar. Not excited.

    Finished "Tales of Jacob" and started "Young Joseph" (both Thomas Mann). The new translation is very good indeed and welcome.

    I have a feeling that Stateside (UK EMI) will release it on cd. They've put out "Soul Zodiac" and a great two cd anthology of the funkier Capitol work. . . . I think it's likely they'll do more releases soon.

    Sound quality is low fidelity, not the worst thing I've heard but if you're picky about sound quality pass this one by.

    The fifth volume of the cd series contained Masterpieces by Ellington and the Liberian Suite. Uptown material is not included in the series.

    Okay, one song missing. I agree, for the price (9 bucks via amazon!) this is a great way to get the music, especially if it's the same mastering as the box set. Though for an introduction to Fats, that box set's booklet is very impressive.
