About TIME! I've been wondering why these albums were never re-released/re-mastered ... whatever.

I had no idea that Andy Bey ever played/sang with Blakey. Did he do both? Will have to look for that Cookers album. I have them all. David Weiss is occasionally here on Organissimo , too.

Easily their best album

I was fortunate to be able to see her a couple weeks ago at Big Ears. Tremendous performance with a band to match.

I wish I'd seen them more when he was alive. Only once, in 89 at a mid-week NO JazzFest show in an elementary school playground. Miraculously, someone filmed it so I can remember it forever: https://youtu.be/9D2NDbTsVHQ

Just saw them at Big Ears

Saw the Vijay Iyer Trio (Linda May Han Oh, Tyshawn Sorey) last night at SFJAZZ and a little over a week ago at Big Ears. Great communication between these three.

I remember seeing him at the NO JazzFest in the late 80s. Didn't know much about him at the time, but was very impressed.

Saw Parker interviewed at Big Ears last week. He's quite a story-teller!
