    The Live at the Village Vanguard set had been available on a budget label for a while, too. I bought it once, thinking it was something different, but it turned out to be the same as the Mosaic.

    I've had a copy of "Between Heaven & Hell" for years. Always thought it was a super-cool album. Don't know why it's not on CD - except for a few alternate cuts that show up as "unreleased bonuses" on the "Sin & Soul ... and then some" CD. Well..........RIP, OB.

    I believe (if AMG is correct) that Kath lived long enough to have made contributions through "XI". I had no idea that he made it that far, actually. My memory is getting foggy, I guess.

    That Spoon album - "Gimme Fiction" - is really growing on me. I definitely recommend checking it out. You can watch them perform several songs on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic show.

    I saw them about that time, too - at the Hollywood Bowl, 1971. I remember liking the show, but that's about all I remember about it.
