  1. Is this the place? Not a very enticing prospect it seems, at least not at the asking price: http://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-releases/inside-on-the-beat-an-interview-with-the-man-who-has-put-his-soho-record-shop-up-for-sale-on-ebay/
  2. MUSIC FROM THE SOURCE: Cecil McBee, with Chico Freeman, Joe Gardner, Dennis Moorman, Steve McCall, Don Moye. Inner City.

  6. Do you know I don't think I've ever played the one after the other which is weird. Maybe I will next time I'm not usually so orderly, but these LPs were from the same session, which I think is a seminal one for Dixon. BTW, each LP has an extensive LP sized insert containing a valuable interview with Dixon. Don't know if it came with the CD. Now playing: Innovation" by Amalgam. Tangent LP. Trevor Watts, John Stevens, Kent Carter, Lindsay Cooper, Keith Tippett, Terri Quaye. I'm a fervent John Stevens fan, as well as Trevor Watts.
  7. All the hip young artists are doing combinations of LP, CD and downloads for different levels of contributions. Top money gets all versions, middle level is one or two, lower level is just download, etc. I betcha an LP version would definitely attract attention.

  9. Rooster_Ties, I like what you are trying to do. Question: can you run a Kickstarter campaign without having the rights to the performance or product? It seems to me that is the cart before the horse; the horse being rights to the material. Maybe it can be done either way, but raising money for something that may not be deliverable strikes me as problematic. I would think a Facebook campaign might be more effective. Strong PR without necessarily having to raise funds. Get thousands of "Likes" and someone will take notice. The Kickstarter could come after rights were obtained or agreed to and a product type decided upon. BTW, is Water still in the reissue business? I recall they did a Leo Wright and maybe one or two others.
  10. With the lime green label.

  12. Dead Parrots, Funny Walks, Ex-Police, Mrs Jean-Paul Sartre, so many funny skits. None of them seem to be doing anything very funny now, although I have hopes that Cleese can make it work. "Fawlty Towers" fan too, hilarious when you're not hiding your head in embarrassment. FT seems the ultimate extension of the Python tradition.

  15. Who is Ramon Lopez? Btw listening now again to disc 4 of Mad Dogs box with Parker Guy Lytton with Fernandez Mind bending Best Evan Parker tenor on record in quite some time - the ending to the first 24 minute section is beyond what should be possible. Even more than his standard casual brilliance. Barry Guy is HUGE on that Mad Dogs set. I was definitely impressed.
