I can't see going downscale; it will only enhance the limitations. You might take a look at this one; good performance and value for money (as these things go): NAD amp
  3. Slipknot Slipper When Wet Slippery Rock
  4. Album cover with LP in the cover design:
  5. Even closer face-off:
  6. Jazzloft still showing in stock this morning - whether or not they have copies....
  7. The Pixies The Pogues The Progs
  8. Amazon Ebay Weather Channel Metro Next Train
  9. One good Nessa deserves another. Imagine having this as the first release on your label?! Nessa n-1:
  10. Another kick-ass album!
  11. I'd go with the Wallfisch myself. I admire Zehetmair but I don't think he is what you are looking for here. Tetzlaff has not caught my interest FWIW (nothing really).
  12. Doing some focus group testing for Chuck. This is some screaming hot playing: Nessa-n-24 LP.
  13. Doing that right now! Totally digging it: ballsy free form improv. Pretty out stuff! Hope not taken amiss, but puts me in mind of Paul Flaherty and Wally Shoup (I love those guys). Damn, it's good. I think I made a find when I picked this LP up.
  14. Mae West Mayflower Madam Sydney Biddle Barrows
  15. I'm pretty excited about them, but I need to find another source to buy them from.
  16. Hilary Clinton Monica Lewinsky Linda Lovelace
  17. Mark McGuire Sammy Sosa Barry Bonds
  18. I have it. I'll give it a listen tomorrow. I saw Mars recently, in a group with Vandermark; the occasion was a tribute to Brotzmann. The guy can play up a storm, but I have no other context for him. Ditto Russell.
  19. Andrew Hill: DANCE WITH DEATH. I'm not generally a big Joe Farrell fan, but he sounds great here. Ditto Charles Tolliver. Oh, and of course, Mr. Hill. This is a terrific album.
  20. Right now: Graham's Fine Tawny Port
  21. I voted for the Blue Note era, and it wasn't a hard choice, but I will say that the Prestige's capture Jackie as a beautiful time in his development, playing with a wonderful, keening, burning , youthful intensity, like a young Lord Byron of the saxophone.
  22. I actually have this album; a lucky find in Philly. Any, it's FRIPPE time!
  23. Hardly ever see Charles Gayle mentioned on the Board. An impassioned artist.
