JSngry Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 If you drag and drop an image, it will save to your profile account. There's a limit to how much of that you can have, which is why you're now getting size/error messages when trying to keep doing it. Probably... Quote

I don't know why people on Discogs are charging $200+ when the going rate is like $75 max for a nice copy. Surely you'll find one. Quote

I actually had another experience like that recently, quite a similar record, in a way... playing that now Wonderfully described ! Really ! Wasn´t Henry Renault the guy who was so crazy about first hand bop players he went to NY to hear them all and also be photographed together with them. There is a famous picture of him with Bud, another with Monk, another with Duke Jordan and so on....isn´t he the guy who had invited Monk to his first trip to Paris ? And was´n he the one who interviwed Bud, and produced a sample of surviving bop pianists somewhere in the 70´s "I remember Bebop?" Quote
JSngry Posted September 6, 2024 Report Posted September 6, 2024 Henri Renauld, yes. https://concord.com/concord-albums/the-birdlanders-vol-1/#:~:text=1,-BUY OR LISTEN&text=Creative as a player and,in the spring of 1954. Charlie Smith on drums btw, the same guy who played on TV with Bird. Quote

That 10in LP is indeed one of those sessions, with Milt Jackson, Al Cohn, JJ Johnson.... There's a track where Milt Jackson sings that's been missing on most later reissues (and I can kind of see why) Edited September 6, 2024 by Niko Quote
