Seems to be mainly Japanese issues on Discogs. What’s the story here, who is on these sessions and why weren’t they released at the time? Edited September 10, 2024 by adh1907 Quote
JSngry Posted September 10, 2024 Report Posted September 10, 2024 The sessions were also issued on domestic CDs, just under different titles. The initial issue was by French RCA and was unapproved by Rollins. Quote

mjazzg Posted September 11, 2024 Report Posted September 11, 2024 Time for some Jazz harpsichord... Michael Garrick Septet - Black Marigolds [Argo, UK 1966 Stereo] Earl Anderza - Outa Sight [Fontana, Netherlands, 1963] First listen, there will be lots more. I do love the fact that after listening to Jazz for 30+ years there's still albums like this to discover. love the "tartness" of his tone. Quote

clifford_thornton Posted September 11, 2024 Report Posted September 11, 2024 Haven't dug that Anderza out in a minute. Thanks for the reminder, enjoyable date (have the same Japanese pressing). Katanga is brilliant. Picked that up as a Stereo PJ original at one point, not a regular find in the bins/walls of the shops so I must thank eBay for the opportunity. Quote
