Mark Stryker Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) "Falling in Love is Wonderful" has just been reissued on LP, CD, and streaming. Devasting. Absolutely devasting. Only three singers can stop the world like this on a ballad: Scott, Sinatra, and Holiday. I have been listening to this track constantly and crying. Music can stimulate all kinds of ideas and emotions, but if it doesn't make you FEEL something deep within you, then what are we even doing here? 1962. The song is by Jimmy Van Heusen (music) and Johnny Burke (lyrics). Gerald Wilson wrote the arrangement. Edited 6 hours ago by Mark Stryker Quote

"The Source" is also great, and, of course, the albums he did for Savoy. A marvelous and truly individual artist. Quote
