now that I've discovered www.yourmusic.com, I know I will have a CD coming at $5.99 (free shipping!) once a month for the next 6 months, and my first two are the Relaxin' SACD followed by the Lush Life SACD-hopefully that will slow down the impulse buys

Thanks for pointing this out. I much prefer this system to the BMG one--in fact, I canceled my BMG account and opened one with yourmusic. Put Monk and Montgomery K2s in the queue and started out with Red Clay (I know Red Clay's not such a steal as it can be picked up for 8 bucks at other places, but it's a CD I've been wanting to nab for some time). Anyway, thanks.

I may have to give this a try.

My wife thinks I have some weird nutso disorder because not once during our recent trip to Vienna did I step foot inside the EMI store that was located a mere 100 feet from the hotel......nor any other cd store/dept for that matter. When you have goodies staring out at you from window displays on every block...who has time to waste fumbling around with cds? Not I.:o

I can relate to this impulsive buying addiction. One night I was listening to an outstanding blues program on the radio and drinking Jack Daniels. John Lee Hooker, Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup and Howlin Wolf were wailing away. I became very excited and ordered what I thought was two or three blues CD's. By the time the JD had worn off and I had awaken, I found out that little impulsive "blues black out" cost me $220 in used and new CD's!

I had a college roommate who used to go on drunken CD buying sprees. He'd wake up the next morning, find the Tower Records bag on the desk, and marvel at his purchases (usually things he already owned). Drinking and CD buying do not mix!
