Well under $4.00 a cd Can't beat that price... I just bought 5 SACD: 3 Dylan issues, the Monk/Coltrane, and the Shaft soundtrack-$5.99 each-with no shipping it's too good to pass up. WD45 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Just noticed: Geri Allen - Life of a Song Bill Frisell - Unspeakable ** Viktor Krauss - Far From Enough ** Saxophone Summit (Lovano, Brecker, & Liebman) - Gathering of Spirits all three Blue Note Plays discs Caetano Veloso - A Foreign Sound Joe Cocker - Ultimate Collection Velvet Underground - Live at Max's Kansas City deluxe ed. Listening to that Viktor Krauss album right NOW. It's great at any price!! Many "thumbs up" and highly recommended from me (FWIW). B-) BTW, for Frisell fans, he's all over this one. I will second that. I am picking up a least one copy for a gift this season. Is it just me, or does Frisell sound like David Gilmour [from Pink Floyd] in a couple of spots on there? Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Well, I just got off the phone with BMG. I E-mailed them several times with no answer so I finally called and worked my way through voice mail hell to a real person. I finally (think I) got an answer as to why I never get offered "Unlimited $5.99 with free shipping & handling for 5 or more CDs". They tell me it's because I'm still getting mailings. If I switch to electronic (E-mail) notification for my selection of the month, I'll get this offer. I just switched over to electronic notification. I'll see if my sales offers change. I tell you, if I get that $5.99 sale, I'll be ordering a whole bunch of Bob Dylan SACDs. Too bad I already bought all of the Fantasy SACDs. Later, Kevin Quote

Big Al Posted December 16, 2004 Author Report Posted December 16, 2004 Supposedly, there’s another 60%-off/No-S&H sale with this code: L4LC9 But every time I enter it, it comes up as an invalid code. Someone wanna check that out and see if it works for you? Otherwise, I’m thankful that 888-number was posted a few posts back! Quote

Maybe this is old news, but I just picked up a couple MFSL's for $5.99 each shipped. Aimee Mann I couldn't find this on the site. What is it under? I searched for both COltrane and Soultrane, and oly found what appears to be the OJC. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 I have a feeling that the yourmusic.com website used the wrong pictures for those 3 titles. They have the same stock # as the BMG standard CD versions. If they arrive and they are the MoFi SACDs, please let us know ASAP. They won't last long at that price... I'll order them in a millisecond. Later, Kevin Quote

jazzkrow Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 I went into the yourmusic.com site. Looks interesting-especially with NO shipping charges-and all cds only $5.99. The only catch is that you have to agree to purchase one cd per month-and they will charge your card for the $5.99 even if you do not place an order. Some of their box sets are cheaper on the BMG site. Has anyone in our group joined yet? I'd be curious about your experience.... May be worth dumping BMG for this company. I wonder if they get everything as soon as BMG does?? Quote

I wonder if they get everything as soon as BMG does?? I think yourmusic.com IS BMG-it's just another way for them to make you buy something every month, like in the old days when they mailed you that damn card that if you didn't send back in time meant you'd be stuck with Kenny G's latest. But you can quit at any time-I intend to finish out my queue and then quit. I have 6 CDs lined up, so then after those 6 months, I'm out, unless something new pops up. I've already received the Relaxin' SACD, and my credit card was charged $5.99 only. No hidden charges, no shipping, just $5.99. The box it came in and the invoice were the standard BMG ones Quote
Leeway Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 I decided to join up with www.yourmusic.com. Somewhat limited selection, but hard to beat the price. I'm taking a stab at the Mo-Fis, -- at least I hope they are! B-) Quote
Tjazz Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 I joined up at yourmusic.com too. The CD/DVD selections are only $5.99, which is cheaper than 2 discs from the BMG club. (like Fats Waller and Glenn Miller Centenial Collection) I try to line up my queue with the CD/DVD sets that are priced at $5.99. Some of the box sets are cheaper too. Quote
