Supposedly, there’s another 60%-off/No-S&H sale with this code: L4LC9

But every time I enter it, it comes up as an invalid code. Someone wanna check that out and see if it works for you? Otherwise, I’m thankful that 888-number was posted a few posts back!

Anyone?

Big Al, try L4LC2. Just worked for me--I picked up a heapin' helpin' of Sinatra with it.

If you folks aren't checking out Daedalus from time to time, you're missing a good bet. I just placed an order for 12 cd's at 5.98 a shot. From Ben Webster to Bechet, plus a few at 2.98 and 3.98.

Posted a few days ago about enrolling in www.yourmusic.com. Well, first bit of bad news is that my order for Ellington's "Piano in the Foreground" and Von Freeman's "The Great Divide" were backordered and CANCELED! No notice of that either, just checking my account I saw the cancellations. Also, an inquiry I made to them about some other items has gone unanswered. Looks like this might be a short relationship :rmad:

I have a feeling that the yourmusic.com website used the wrong pictures for those 3 titles. They have the same stock # as the BMG standard CD versions. If they arrive and they are the MoFi SACDs, please let us know ASAP. They won't last long at that price... I'll order them in a millisecond. :)

Later,

Kevin

Crap, the Soultrane is a K-2 not a Mo-Fi.

New :

Miles Davis - Seven Steps 7-CD box set

(yourmusic.com sells it for $41.95 plus tax/free shipping)

Chet Baker : 3-CD box

Oscar Peterson : Live at the Blue Note (4-CD)

Anyone taken the plunge and bought/received the Seven Steps boxset for $41.93 from yourmusic.com

I wonder if it will have different packaging (no metal spine?) at this price?

Anyone know?

Because YourMusic.com is a BMG Music initiative, I suspect that it will be the same as any of the box sets available via the club.

I got the Jack Johnson set via BMG and it was exactly the same as what was available in the store (metal spine).

I'm thinking of rejoining the BMG club.

I'm looking at the Creedence catalog. When BMG lists them as "remastered" does this mean the latest SACD hybrids?

Given that they have the Bill Evans SACD listed as such (and not available as a free selection to new members) I am suspicious that the CCR titles are not the SACDs but earlier remasterings.

Does anyone know for sure?

I just pulled the trigger on the 7 Steps box from yourmusic.com. How could I resist at that price? Alice Coltrane's Translinear Light is coming too, and my music queue will be sending me Velvet Revolver today.

Seems like an awesome deal to me. Perhaps I can finally get a 'real' copy of Trane's Heavyweight Champion box. $41.93 as well...Man that's hard to pass up...gotta wait a little while though...

And I bet those CCRs are the latest K2 remasters. They blow chunks compared to the DCC golds, which were the best until the new AP SACDs. The problem with all of the CCR discs not mastered by Steve Hoffman is that they use the equalized tapes, not the true masters. These EQ'ed tapes have way too much treble and make them very fatiguing at high volumes. The DCCs or the new SACDs you can crank them as loud as you want and they can take it!!! B-)

Those CCR K2s are absolutely horrible (they're still on my sale list, so this is not one of my cleverer remarks...)

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Al.

That's cool, even though I completely disagree about the sound quality of those CCR K2's! :g:g:g

(But then, what do I know? For me, the only way to hear CCR is high-trebly ridiculously-distorted!!! I may change my mind if I ever hear those Hoffman-mastered discs, though!)

The latest Conns are available. I've got the Hill and the Young. Are any of the others worth picking up?

Jack Wilson's EASTERLY WINDS is my favorite of the bunch!!!

Having said that, and mind you I’m not complaining one bit, but I don’t understand why BMG gets all the Conns, but have hardly any of the latest RVGs. I mean, from an accounting standpoint, it would seem to me that there’s less of a risk involved in getting the cheaper RVGs than the more expensive Conns.

But make no mistake: I’m certainly glad they have the Conns! Makes me wish I’d waited on the Hill and the Wilson. Ah well; it was money well spent!

I see the Bob Dylan SACD 16 disc set is on there for $95 with no shipping at yourmusic.com!

It just sold on eBay for $178!

I can't believe this-I gave up on thisever showing up in BMG and went ahead and got all the discs through Columbia House using some of my bonus points and 3 for 1 sales. I wish I understood how and when and why they get certain titles

Great deal on the Dylan Box. At $6/CD, gotta love it! I'll have to pick it up.

I got the Miles Davis SEVEN STEPS box and it's sealed with no BMG label markings. Metal side clip too. (from yourmusic.com)

Marilyn Manson : Best of

Mavericks : Live in Austin, TX
