Soul Stream Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Came across a thread where everyone was posting pictures of themselves. Now, after searching a while I can't find it. Anyway, I had a nice little blurb written up in the San Antonio paper last week for my gig I do every couple of months down there. It had a picture, so I thought I'd share it since you didn't know I was a "badass" and all (not really).San Antonio Current Quote

wesbed Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 (edited) Thanks for the link to the picture and the article, man. The thread you were searching for is located here. Edited January 23, 2005 by wesbed Quote
Soul Stream Posted January 23, 2005 Author Report Posted January 23, 2005 Thanks everybody. It turned out to be a great gig w/ a big turnout (man, that press stuff really DOES work! Who knew.) Anyway, that's a real nice listening club. I actually haven't played San Antonio that much before, but it's turning out to be a nice spot for me lately. Quote
ghost of miles Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 (edited) Great piece, Mike! Lisa Sorg is an old buddy of mine--used to live upstairs from me here in Bloomington and was my editor for several years at the old Bloomington Independent. I've tried to drop her a line every year or so since she moved down the Texas way. Edited January 24, 2005 by ghost of miles Quote
Soul Stream Posted January 23, 2005 Author Report Posted January 23, 2005 Thanks Lon! Ghost, I don't know Lisa, but I sure do like her a lot Quote

JSngry Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Good idea. Let us turn our sharecroppers into plow swords! Quote
Soul Stream Posted January 24, 2005 Author Report Posted January 24, 2005 Yes, why battle the B3's when we could unite and rule the world! Quote
patricia Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Nice item. But, at best, you look like a semi-badass. Quote
Brad Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 That was a nice writeup. Looks like it must have helped. Way to go! Quote
BruceH Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Nine pre-set keys? Really? That write-up makes me wish I could go. Cool. Quote
Soul Stream Posted January 25, 2005 Author Report Posted January 25, 2005 Nine pre-set keys? Really? That write-up makes me wish I could go. Cool. There's really an octave of preset keys for each manual for a total of 24. There are 4 sets of 9 drawbar clusters plus 2 drawbars for the pedals. Anyway, she got some of the numbers mixed up, but who wouldn't with all that going on! (Hey, and there's tabs, a dang knob and I'm not even going to go into the double-switch start/run fiasco to get the whole thing to turn on!) Anyway, thanks again eveybody for your nice comments. RonF Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Cool Mike. I'd be there in a heartbeat too. Quote
Peter Johnson Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Well done, Mike--that's great stuff! Quote
