SS1 doesn't cause trouble with anyone else, it just stuck in his craw that this punk ripped him off, and didn't even care. I'll start a thread asking if any naked, gay, Asian band singers who had sex with Warne Marsh while watching Greta Garbo in Queen Christina, if that will help people cope better with the "loss" Besides people, your time could be much better spent...helping me! I posted a thread a few days back on a boppish Tenor solo on a Jimmy Dorsey side called Murderistic. Somebody must know the real scoop. Help me!!!!!!!!!!! Aric is the past, I am the future!

Che, IMO you've been very deftly passive-aggressive, saying things that you must know are provocative or inflammatory, adopting a smugly arrogant and dismissive tone towards people who try civilly to debate you, and then acting as if you've been hurt and victimized by the people who get angry in response to your multi-pronged provocations. Writing music. Playing with my daughter. Hanging out with fellow musicians and having a good time, creating. I think some people here need to focus on their real lives. I'm currently discussing plans with our new manager to take Organissimo to the next level. Which means this board is going to get a whole lot busier when we're successful. What then? If my comments were curt, I apologize, but I think you generally agree with my sentiment, which was if you don't like it, don't look at it. However, I am trying to be more sensitive to things that offend people and/or things that could bring trouble to me personally or to the band as a whole. Death threats are one. Porn is another. Anti-semitism is another. Racism, sexism are others. It's a lot to keep up with. This whole thing with che needs to be in the political section. Please don't air it here. Better yet, take it to email or PM. I closed the thread. I don't know what else I can do other than ban him, which... considering how many problems banning Aric has cause, would seemingly cause the board to implode upon itself. I dare not!!!! I'm just at a loss at why people would leave over this... and I've even received a PM from one who did and I still don't get it. I also don't understand bringing up GregM in all this. LET GO OF THE PAST, please! I mean, I've already admitted, several times, that I did not handle that situation very well. And I apologized. But that doesn't mean I want the guy back here. It just means I'm learning as I'm going. It was a beautiful day here in Michigan.

And I think these are often the most effective tools against a certain kind of troublemaker who wants attention! Time-out! Look: the rules stated at the inception of this board spell it out quite clearly. If you ask me, Aric was asking for banning. People sometimes do that -- act provocatively in order to provoke a response! Duh! Jim, the creator of this virtual space, did not ignore what he perceived as a problem. Since Jim informed me some months ago I don't need to post here, I'm sure my opinion is not wanted (and for the record, I am not going to post further so everyone can breathe easy). But I must say, you have let a twit like Che goad you all into acting like third graders. And it isn't the end of the world if someone is banned or walks away. The board is not going up in flames. There are many other threads. You CHOOSE to post on this thread that you claim upsets you because you need to have the last word. That's the kind of stupid shit that will eventually kill this place. You don't need an ignore function. You need to act like adults and just walk away. If you can't do that, then I guess you're right. Kill the board with your silly posturing. Che is doing to you all what SS1 did do Aric. Carry one. Apparently being "right" and being the last person to be "right" is more important than talking about jazz.

But since I'm on the computer anyway, why not hang out here. I do think we need to deal with our grievances with each other. Personally, I think that PM's are the way to do it, but sometimes these things need to be discussed. I could be all cool and act like I don't give a damn if people are upset, but I do. I have known Aric since I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. He is one crazy mutha. I also think that it is totally hilarious that people are talking about him this much. I wonder if he has every gotten this much attention in his whole entire life.
