Aggie87 Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Saw a link to this on the SH Forum. Someone put together a "mash-up" with Queen's Greatest Hits and 50 Cent. Check it out! Quote
Alexander Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 The mash-up of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "P.I.M.P." is kinda cool, but I still think 50 is phoney... Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Uh, isn't that the queen-mum?? Quote
Free For All Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Rooster's post is a response to a post of mine that I deleted. Please don't think he's lost his mind. Quote
bertrand Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 'Queen' is touring with Paul Rogers sitting in for Freddie Mercury. I can't even begin to conceive of how awful that will be. I mean, the original Queen was bad enough... Bertrand. Quote
catesta Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 I never really understood the popularity of Queen and I definitely don't understand the popularity of Curtis Jackson. That whole wearing a bullet proof vest while performing thing is ridiculous. If you're that afraid someone is gong to shoot you, then do us all a favor and don't go on stage. Quote
Guest Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 Bertrand: I can enjoy a Lennie Tristano lp and then enjoy a Queen lp as well. as a true jazz lover you should be more open towards other sounds and genres of music. queen might not have the counterpoint of a dave brubeck octet record, but that doesnt mean they deserve to be in the trash bin. GregN Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 damn fiddy I was already to go on about how Freddy Mercury was an awesome rock vocalist, but then someone posted this picture and I kind of lost my train of thought for some reason or other. g p.s. Jim, let's do a rap record!! pls, pls, pls, pls, Quote

Where does betrand say he is not being open to other sounds and genres? If you like Queen, good for you. Whether or not they belong in the trash bin though is a personal opinion. I can say Queen sucks and still enjoy other music besides jazz. Quote
Guy Berger Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 This is one of the funniest/wackiest music videos I've ever seen: Queen, "I Want to Break Free" According to the liner notes for Queen's Greatest Hits: The song has become an anthem in many oppressed areas of the world. Guy Quote
