Rabshakeh Posted July 7 Posted July 7 (edited) I was in chicago recently and decided to try some hot dogs. I enjoyed the Maxwell St Polish, mainly because of the onions. But the Chicago style hot dog piled with pickles just seemed to taste of pickles, which overpowered the hot dog. Maybe I ate it wrong. Not really my food, I guess. And, as Woody Allen said, over far too quickly. Edited July 7 by Rabshakeh Quote
rostasi Posted July 7 Posted July 7 What’s really in a hotdog? Nutrition experts explain Americans eat 20bn hotdogs every year, but experts say they’re also among the most highly processed foods Quote

I’ve found a killer chili-dog place here in Pittsburgh — just down the street, actually, like a five minute walk from home— that has THE best chili-dogs I’ve had since a place back in my college town a gazillion years ago. Still, one per month is the most I’ll ever have — and probably not even that often. That, plus 2-3 hotdogs a year at ballgames (the view of downtown from the Pittsburgh Pirates stadium is to die for). All together, that’ll probably be 10 hotdogs a year, at most — and that’s WAY more than I ever had back in DC (like 2x/year at most for 15 years). Moderation is the key. Quote
