The quintet played in Berlin on 4 Nov. Timings about right according to the discography

The Berlin concert does not seem to have been videotaped. Karlsruhe was and this is it!

One of the last appearances of the quintet wearing tuxedos and fashion-conscious Miles in an Italian suit...

Thanks Dmitry for digging this up!

The Karlsruhe concert is one of the best gigs from the 1967 European tour because of the performance length, which isn't matched on any other recording. It includes new (Agitation, Footprints, Masqualero, Riot, Gingerbread Boy) and old (Round Midnight, No Blues, On Green Dolphin Street, I Fall in Love too Easily, Walkin').

I haven't seen the video.

I saw Miles on this tour in London.

The Miles Ahead site says that the Monk Quartet, Archie Shepp, Gary burton, Sarah Vaughan and others were on the same bill.

Of course, they were not all on the same night.

I think they were spread over a week.

I know I saw Archie Shepp (with Rudd and Moncur) about this time so I think it must have been Shepp on the bill with Miles.

I didn't see Monk, I have no idea how I managed to miss that. Never did see Monk.

Certainly not in France, since it is Joachim Ernst Behrend who introduces the band.

His book "The Third Ear" is interesting.

I've seen some of this footage before, in that Miles documentary that came out in the 90's. Nice to have it here unbroken by a narrator.
