Other than this personnel listing the back cover or labels do not show composer credits nor track timings - the composer credits are from http://members.aol.com/ishorst/love/discsand.html except for the Sierra Madre theme and Ray Bryant's tune. Place and date of this session are unknown. Some sources claim it was Pharoah Sanders' first recording session, which would date it in the second half of 1962, before his first session for ESP (January 4, 1963) and after the Latin Jazz Quintet's last for Prestige (April 20, 1962). Its first release on LP was ca. 1971. The two tracks on the 45rpm single, released as "Juan Amalbert And His Band probably are from this session.
