Free For All
Kerby Lane now has three locations. . . the original on Kerby Lane, one on South Lamar sort of just south of Oltorf, and the third on Guadalupe, where Conan's Pizza used to be on Guadalupe. The original is still the best, though the Guadalupe location is very good and I end up going there more often. (Though I live closer to the original!) I lived on Bull Creek for awhile, very close to the original. It was a favorite post-gig hang.
Free For All
Do they still have live music at Katz's? I used to play there every now and then. Another Texas place I miss.... ....and the chicken-fried steak at Threadgill's..... Lon, do you remember a club called Copa's? How about Piggy's? (both from the 80s)
clifford_thornton
I split my time between Austin and Houston. If things work out I will be back in Austin and would love to hang.
