Soulstation1
Today is the day! Support The Good Doctor! I noticed it's over at emusic today
Free For All
It's been up at iTunes for awhile. I'm interested to hear opinions on this one, I'm kind of on the fence about it. His singing on Come Together is pretty out there, that's for sure.
kh1958
It's $12.99, direct from the label, with free shipping in February. http://www.palmetto-records.net/

mikeweil
Just listening to the first track as found on the Palmetto site. Herlin Riley!!! He rips it up. To tell the truth, I found the drummer on the Doctor's last CD the weak point, relying to much on the backbeat, but Riley .... Oh my good God ... I will buy this instantly. mikeweil
Just ordered from Palmetto, and they didn't add shipping charges! Wow ...

marcello
I believe that Palmetto has only three releases scheduled for this year, and this is the first.
Jim Alfredson
I can't describe how happy I am that a label is finally capturing the Dr. on record the way he deserves to be captured. I'll be picking this one up for sure.
mikeweil
I wish we had organists like that over here!
kh1958
While ordering the new Lonnie Smith, there are other fine CDs on this label (for example, Bobby Previte's Set the Alarm for Monday, or Bobby Watson's Horizon Reassembled). My apologies if this suggestion casts a stone in anyone's pond of "jazz is dead" reveries.

Shawn
Not in my budget, but I will supporting the good Dr. in spirit. I did go see him on tour last year and purchased the last two albums, that will have to do for now. He's still an amazing performer at the very top of his game. I have a couple of the Frank Kimbrough releases and they are good--I haven't heard Ben Allison yet.
