JETman
Does anyone think we'll ever get liner notes we can actually read on a Wounded Bird cd?

CJ Shearn
I'll be able to replace the vinyl rip I found. I know Wounded Bird licenses tapes from Sony, but I'm surprised this isn't making its first appearance in the Complete Columbia Albums Collection, surprised they haven't done so for Freddie. JSngry
Hope it's as good as the tooth paste! They don't do Girl From Ipana, unfortunately.
Free For All
Hope it's as good as the tooth paste! They don't do Girl From Ipana, unfortunately. Or Ultra Brite Size Life. Or Star Crest Lovers. Or Arm & Hammerhead. Of course we can't forget Yusef's "Live at Pepsodent". OK, I'm done.

kh1958
Gleam came in the mail yesterday, and I really enjoyed it on first listen; Freddie is in tip top form. This is the same group that I saw live around the same time here in Dallas (without the conga player).
Leroy Bad
Has anyone picked up the CD yet? I have to admit that this might be my new Freddie Hubbard album!
ghost of miles
Just got this as a special order at Landlocked Music here in Bloomington... listening to disc 1 right now while at work. Really digging not just Freddie's playing, but the band in general... going to feature this on the "Jazz From Indiana" Thursday edition of the afternoon show this week. Rooster_Ties
Top drawer Freddie, and I like it better than any studio date of his from that entire decade (at least those I've heard). Recommended!! Edited May 21, 2014 by Rooster_Ties
Leroy Bad
Oh I recommend picking this one up as soon as possible! It's on Wounded Bird who delete titles only after a couple years, and this one's got a two year head start!. It's highly worth it.
JohnS
It looks like i'm going to have to dig out my vinyl of Gleam and High Energy. Neither have been played for years but they are the only Hubbard Columbias I've kept so I must have some affection for them.
