Justin V Posted November 14, 2020 Report Posted November 14, 2020 Having purchased my first car without a CD player, I am revisiting albums I have on a USB stick. I'll be playing Joe Bonner's Parade, another album with an Ornette connection via Billy Higgins, soon. Quote

sidewinder Posted November 14, 2020 Report Posted November 14, 2020 (edited) Well up to the standard of the ‘old’ Blue Note. Edited November 14, 2020 by sidewinder Quote
kh1958 Posted November 14, 2020 Report Posted November 14, 2020 (edited) Charles Mingus, Bremen, 1964 and 1975 (Sunnyside) I've just listened so far to the 1975 concert (I have the 1964 concert already). It is well recorded, balanced and clear, with top notch performances from all parties. A quality live version of Changes One and Two (except for Orange Was the Color...) with a couple of additional songs. Very pleased to have this concert on CD. Edited November 14, 2020 by kh1958 Quote
Justin V Posted November 14, 2020 Report Posted November 14, 2020 I'm happy to finally have the last of the three discs documenting Hank's final recordings with Elvin. Now I think I just need an album with Sadao Watanabe to have all of Hank's albums with Ron and Tony. Quote
