This is one of the fewer LD-Records I have listened to more than just one time.Ā

I just got rid of the more easy listening things with let“s say the 3 Sounds and a lot of the stuff with organ, other than the "Date with Jimmy Smith" , but this here I like more since it has more name jazz musicians. I can“t listen too much to the Herman Foster block chords....

Re-listening to this disc before moving on, it’s a good chunk of ā€œMiles Davis in Europeā€ plus the track ā€œBye Bye Blackbirdā€ which was not on that original LP. Phenomenal music I've loved for about 50 years (except "Bye Bye Blackbird" which I have known for a shorter period of time).

ā€œMiles in France 1963 & 1964 The Bootleg Series, Vol. 8ā€Ā disc 3

I think this was one of my first Miles albums, with that fast Milestones and Walkin“ versions, though I liked the stuff of the first quintet, after some listenig this one exited me very very much and made me ready for the next one, Bitches Brew....

Weather Report ā€œSweetnighterā€ Columbia LP

Listening to this one more time before refiling it. Such memories this vinyl evokes. A cool morning and Fiona let me sleep an hour plus longer and I’m grateful. Saw a doe and a yearling in my back yard this morning. She wasn’t worried about Fiona but was staring me down. I just stood there (about 60 feet away) and talked gently to her. After a few minutes she moved her kiddo along slowly into the wood between my nearest neighbor and our property. Was a great moment.

I love the bass playing of Messrs Vitous and White on this album!

Saw Chuck Nessa was playing this box set recently and realized I haven’t listened to it for some time. Now playing record 1.

I love the sax-bass-drum trio format.Ā  Ā But this one is a little different.Ā  Swallow's electric bass gives the album a different sonic texture compared to sax-bass-drum trio albums that use upright basses.Ā  . . . So you get a bit less low-end heft and a bit more guitar-istic delicacy.

Eastern Rebellion, Primary, 1 of 4

IMO, this is the best Eastern Rebellion album -- in no small part because of Big George.Ā Ā
