gmonahan Posted Monday at 06:39 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:39 PM I dismissed these years ago as commercial stuff but decided to return to them after all these years with this set, and there really is some fine music here! Good sound too. Quote

JSngry Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM 17 compositions by 15 composers. 3 CDs packed in an LP-size jacket in cardboard that's as heavy as a 65 Cadillac. Pleasant listening so far, about as expected. Quote

Peter Friedman Posted yesterday at 03:52 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:52 PM I believe this is the only album where Rollins and McLean both play. I found Art Blakey's drum work highly impressive, especially on the tune "Denial". Miles playing On the tune "Bluing" also, to my ears, was damn good. Had not played this album in a very long time, and was slightly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Quote

Probably Beirach's strongest in this century. Regarding the album's scarcity: Has OutNote gone belly up? I hope not. Quote
