Peter Friedman Posted November 6 Report Posted November 6 This is a really good album. Bill Holman's arrangements fit perfectly with Zoot. The arrangement of the tune "Main Stem" is simply outstanding. As to be expected, Zoot's solos are terrific, and we also get a few very nice solos from Frank Rosolino. Quote
HutchFan Posted November 6 Report Posted November 6 (edited) Since Buster Williams is featured so extensively in this duo setting, this album is a "must-hear" for anyone who enjoys his sound, his playing. I can't get enough of it. And Kenny Barron is wonderful too, of course. Edited November 6 by HutchFan Quote

jazzbo Posted November 7 Report Posted November 7 Another cold morning with a wife fighting pain. I got her back to sleep and read about someone’s upcoming “trillion dollar pay package.” That made me shiver and think of “Million Dollar Bash” so I put on disc 3 of this great box set.
