I bet that is a good one.  I like their trio disc, Calypso's Smile

I really like it. From the late 70s but with a definite early AACM feel (lots bells / percussions etc, and good attention to dynamics). It's a double LP.

I hadn't heard of Calypso's Smile but I'll check it out. The cover is... interesting.

I think I heard a title "Westcoast" Blues on a Wes Montgomery led session, I think the Album´s title is "So much Guitar !" . Is "Westcoast Blues" a blues in B flat in 3/4 time ?

My wife is home til maybe Wednesday, she was off yesterday too. My listening time is severely restricted.

Snuck this on while she is in the other room on the computer on Facebook. Will see if I can get away with listening to it. . . .

I was expecting a little bit higher of a notch, but still, not bad. Ted Dunbar plays really well on here, though.

I had the same response to this record.  I wanted it to be better.

I'd like to think of this as a/the Sarah Lee of jazz records, you know, "Everybody doesn't like something, but nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee".

Alright, I was able to get through Lou. . . even had a bit of Lucy doing some mod dancing for me in the living room. . . . But I got an ixnay on further jazz so now it’s the Spectrum cable channel “Soundscapes” which is okay. . . the system stays on.
