Heck of a player, interesting composer. Mark Shim shines on "Ganymede," and Mark Turner likewise on "Mythology" (much to my surprise, I've been off Turner for a good while -- a live gig last year or so with one of the Cohen crew, the trumpeter, almost induced catatonia in me.

Agree wholeheartedly about Matt. He grew up here in New Mexico & we're happy to see his burgeoning career.

Ray Noble & American Orchestra. Don't know if you can call it all jazz but some pretty good music.Especialy the Indian suite I never heard his own version of Cherokee before. And Ray delightfully hamming it up on 'Slumming on Park Avenue'.
