This is a fun date and like all those I’ve heard on the label by the All Stars (varying groups) very well-recorded.

The violin is a surprise and those organists all deliver.

Dave Holland Big Band - What Goes Around (ECM, 2002)

A very good album. It includes, along with the 2 very fine trombone players, the marvelous George Tucker on bass, and Al Harewood on drums.

The star of this album , for me, is the piano player Sonny Clark. His solos on almost every track brings a huge smile to my face. Along with Horace Silver and Kenny Drew, Sonny Clark brings a deep seated blues feeling to his playing that makes him one of my favorites.
